Luminary Carve Clay Workshop

Located at Utepils Brewing, 225 Thomas Avenue North

Join us on in the beer garden at Utepils Brewing and experience the quiet joy of carving into a professionally thrown clay form in this special off-site workshop. You’ll start with a pre-thrown and carefully cured cylinder—just the right texture for satisfying, detailed carving.

Whether you come with a design in mind or prefer to let your hands wander into abstract patterns, the process is meditative, creative, and truly one-of-a-kind. The result: a glowing ceramic luminary, around 5" tall, ready to warm your space with flickering light.

🏺 Pick up pieces at Dame Errant Clay once they are fired.

FIRING AND PICK UP:

Once you are complete, choose your glaze option and we will bring it back to Dame Errant to fire. After a few weeks, come to Dame Errant to pick up your piece! Firing updates go out in our newsletter, and you will get automated emails that will remind you to check if your piece is done, and a week before the 8 week cut off. 

AGE:

This workshop is suitable for ages 14 to 100, minors must be accompanied by a participating adult.

REGISTRATION AND ATTENDANCE POLICY

To ensure a quality experience for all registered participants, our workshops are designed for those who have signed up in advance. Please note that extra guests are not permitted to attend or observe the workshop unless they have registered themselves. This includes children—our workshops cannot accommodate unregistered minors. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain the integrity and focus of our sessions.

ROGUE OPTIONS:

This form could be converted into an open-air garlic jar, left without holes the form could be a short vase, a utensil holder or turned upside down it could be the shell of a bell. 

Please register 48 hours in advance, we need time to throw and cure the pieces.
