Octopus Mug

Join us for this workshop at Lake Monster Brewing as part of our summer brewery series!

We are so excited to bring to you the opportunity to make a Tentacle mug! A carve clay workshop perfect for the winter season!

Your vessel will be thrown by a professional potter and cured so that it is a great consistency and perfect for adding embellishments!

Keep in mind, that in this workshop we will spend the majority of our time working on our handle which will be formed by rolling a coil and adding each tentacle sucker individually. It tends to be a lovely repetitive process with a spectacular outcome.

FIRING AND PICK UP:

Once you’re finished, you’ll choose a glaze option and we’ll transport your piece back to Dame Errant to be glazed and fired. You’ll receive automated email reminders when your piece is ready, as well as a heads-up one week before the 8-week pickup window ends. Firing updates are also shared in our newsletter.

AGE:

This workshop is suitable for ages 14 to 100, minors must be accompanied by a participating adult.

ROGUE OPTIONS:

1. If you are not interested in the Octopus handle, you are welcome to make simple handle and spend more time carving out your mug.

2. Cut all the way through to make a short luminary.

3. Simply make a handless vessel.

To ensure a quality experience for all registered participants, our workshops are designed for those who have signed up in advance. Please note that extra guests are not permitted to attend or observe the workshop unless they have registered themselves. This includes children—our workshops cannot accommodate unregistered minors. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain the integrity and focus of our sessions.
