Mug Carve

Join us for this workshop at Lake Monster Brewing as part of our winter brewery series!

In this workshop, we'll start with a professionally thrown vessel that has been cured for you to carve.

Using a range of tools, including metal and wooden implements, you'll explore endless possibilities of surface decoration as you create unique patterns, textures, and designs.

Students are encouraged to explore, play and enjoy the clay at this delicious texture that is often not accessible to beginners. You’ll then get to shape and attach a handle to complete your creation. This workshop is perfect for anyone interested in exploring clay.

FIRING AND PICK UP:

Once you’re finished, you’ll choose a glaze option and we’ll transport your piece back to Dame Errant to be glazed and fired. You’ll receive automated email reminders when your piece is ready, as well as a heads-up one week before the 8-week pickup window ends. Firing updates are also shared in our newsletter.

AGE:

This workshop is suitable for ages 14 to 100, minors must be accompanied by a participating adult.

Registration and Attendance Policy:

To ensure a quality experience for all registered participants, our workshops are designed for those who have signed up in advance. Please note that extra guests are not permitted to attend or observe the workshop unless they have registered themselves. This includes children—our workshops cannot accommodate unregistered minors. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain the integrity and focus of our sessions.

ROGUE OPTIONS:

Cut all the way through to make a short luminary. You can also choose to make a handleless vessel.
