Body Forms

A Pinch Pot Workshop

Explore the human form through clay in this playful, hands-on pinch pot workshop!

Using the traditional pinch pot technique, you’ll shape a vessel inspired by the body. Create a form that speaks to you using any body-inspired shape. There’s no single way to approach the human form, and no two pieces will look alike.

You’ll learn the basics of building a pinch pot, shaping and refining your vessel, and adding your own details and character. You can choose to add a handle or keep your piece handle-free.

No prior experience needed. Just bring your creativity!

Please Note*

Our focus is on artistic and anatomical representation. Sexualized comments, jokes, innuendo, or inappropriate remarks about another participant’s work, body, or creative choices will not be tolerated. We ask everyone to approach the workshop with respect, openness, and consideration for others.

Because the workshop may involve representations of nude or intimate anatomy, please consider whether this environment is comfortable and appropriate for you before attending.

VIBE:

Our cozy worktables provide the perfect setting to relax and get into your creative while enjoying a cup of tea.

FIRING AND PICK UP:

Once you are complete, choose your glaze option and leave it with us to fire. After a few weeks, return to pick up your finished piece. We work with mid-fire stoneware and your piece will be dishwasher and microwave-safe.

AGE:

This workshop is suitable for ages 18 to 100.

ACCESSIBILITY:

If you need any accessibility accommodations to participate in our workshops, please contact us in advance so we can best support you.
