6 Week Intermediate Wheel Throwing Workshop
Mondays at 6 pm starting November 3rd
Ready to progress beyond wheel throwing basics but not sure what comes next? Join us for this intermediate level workshop where we will expand upon the skills taught in beginner level wheel throwing courses.
**Please note that participants must have taken a beginner level long form wheel workshop, either at Dame Errant or another studio, and understand the basics of throwing, trimming, and glazing to be eligible for this workshop.
Workshop Highlights:
Refining centering techniques
Throwing larger pieces (2+ pounds of clay)
Advanced forms such as plates and bottles
Altering forms on the wheel
Trimming more effectively and adding texture
Handles
Advanced glazing techniques
What You’ll Take Home:
While we will save our best pieces to fire at the end of the workshop as a celebration of artistic growth, the experience and knowledge gained will last a lifetime.
Who Should Attend:
This workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to progress beyond the basics of wheel throwing.
If you can’t attend a class session, we will give you extra hours to work alone outside of class.
Additional studio hours also available to purchase at student rate.

3 sqft of kiln space for finished work (should be more than enough, but can purchase more at $12/ft)

Please note that extra guests are not permitted to attend or observe the workshop unless they have registered themselves. This includes children—our workshops cannot accommodate unregistered minors.
