Tara is a ceramic artist and the founder of Dame Errant Clay. Her practice began in 2013 at the Grand Marais Art Colony, grew through time at the University of Minnesota, and took root in Minneapolis when she opened her first studio in 2016. Alongside clay, she spent a decade working as an art director in the film industry while also studying yoga and meditation, experiences that continue to inform her approach.
Dame Errant expanded significantly in 2021 into its current home in North Minneapolis. The studio has since evolved into a community centered on the creative process and the subtle inner shifts that making can hold.
In 2025 Tara has stepped back from teaching and production work to explore the broader field of participatory arts and to deepen her research into how shared creative experiences can shape our human experience.
